Why this exists
We built Whistle Enterprise because the people who most need a proper record of their meetings are lawyers, advisors, compliance leads, HR, public sector teams and anyone else who requires private meeting documentation. These are the people that can't send conversations to a third party. We wanted there to be a tool that sits on your own computer, does the work there and does not depend on an external service. Optional provider connections remain a separate choice. So we made it.
Whistle Enterprise will never
- Have a bot join your call.
- Send a recording off your computer.
- Connect to another service without your permission.
- Require an account to record, transcribe or write a document locally.
- Send us telemetry, analytics pings or usage tracking.
- Use your meeting content to train our models.
The above 6 things will never change.
If you'd like to use ChatGPT or Claude for writing, you can install an extension. This sends your transcript to OpenAI or Anthropic. We've set out what they receive in the privacy notice.
